Basecoat
- Medium yellow latex paint, satin roller, brush, paint tray
Painted Finish
- Blood orange-red
- pale yellow
- Mint green latex paint
- Satin water-based glazing liquid
- Mixing containers
- 3" paintbrushes
- Newspaper or Magazine pages
- Bottle Cork
For each coloured glaze
- part latex paint
- 1 part water-based glazing liquid
Instructions
- Apply 2 coats of the base coat and let dry for 4 hours
- Prepare the glazes. Working in an area 4' x 4' with a 3" brush, apply the red glaze randomly to 60% of the surface in short vertical and horizontal strokes
- Apply the yellow glaze to 30% of the area in the same way
- Apply the green glaze to 10% of the area in the same way
- Using a dry 3" brush, gently blend the glazes together,moving horizontally and vertically across the wall. Wipe the brush on a rag periodically to keep it dry
- Take a sheet of newspaper with an interesting pattern- the heavier the print, the stronger the transfer - and press it into the wet glaze. Leave it n place until the glaze is tacky. While you are waiting, repeat the painting process on the next section
- Before the glaze dries completely, peel off newspaper carefully, leaving behind the transfer print. Repeat on the next section

- Inscribe words or symbols into the wet glaze with a cork [optional]
