Tools and Materials Needed
- Birch Veneer sheets and plywood
- Router
- Carpenter's glue
- Nut-brown stain
- paint brush

- low sheen varnish
Getting Started
- Apply birch veneer to plywood.
- Using a router, groove the veneer panel with horizontal lines to give the impression of planks. If you don't have a router, the lumber store can do this for you.
- Install the veneer panel to the wall.
- Using smooth, even strokes and working In the same direction as the wood grain, rub the nutty brown stain over the entire surface. Stain the grooves made by the router heavily to make them stand out.
- Seal the entire surface with a low sheen varnish.
