Instructions
Step 1. To apply the Anaglypta wallpaper border: Unroll the paper and cut it along the perforations. Apply the vinyl adhesive to the back of the paper with a brush, including all the embossed valleys and indentations. Apply the adhesive to the wall as well. Wait 10 minutes for the paper to absorb the glue – the paper will stretch a bit. Place the paper on the wall, using a level to ensure it’s straight. Any gaps between the paper and the ceiling trim can be filled in later with spackle. Press the paper to the wall with your fingertips, then a brush. As the paper dries the relief work will return to its original height. Let it dry completely. Prime with water-based primer.
Step 2. Apply 2 coats of the soft yellow base coat to the Anaglypta with a roller and let dry for 4 hours.
Step 3. (Shot 1) Dip a moist kitchen sponge into the avocado green paint. Remove the excess onto a paper towel. Softly sweep across the embossed surface to highlight the design. Don’t press to hard or use too much paint.
Step 4. (Shot 2) Color in some of the embossed details with the rusty red artist’s acrylic and an artist’s brush.
