Hi!
I’m Laura McQuarrie, winner of the one month internship with Debbie Travis Branding. I’m already a week in and incredibly excited to share my experience with you!
I’m blogging from my very own desk and computer at Debbie Travis Branding. I hesitate to call it an “office,” because it’s unlike any I’ve ever worked in - far more beautiful, spacious and well-lit by the skylights above. I’m surrounded by more paint chips and magazines than I can possibly go through in my time here. Heaven.
I grew up watching home decorating shows, helping with ongoing home renovations, doing DIY projects and constantly rearranging my furniture – still do. A friend of mine jokingly calls this “design-ADD,” and I know I’m not the only one who could be diagnosed with this.
Naturally, I found myself interested in design and have just completed my third year at Ryerson’s School of Interior Design. I’m so pleased to be starting the summer with this internship. So far, I’ve learned a lot about Debbie’s product line, and how many scoops to put in the coffee!
